Mental health is becoming an increasingly important aspect of corporate healthcare. Modern companies are investing in the mental health of their employees, as prevention is worthwhile.
“Psychological disorders are becoming an increasingly common reason for absenteeism and early retirement. Around 15% of all absentee days are due to mental health conditions. The particular urgency of mental health issues is also reflected in their duration, which is on average 36 days—three times longer than other illnesses, which average just 12 days.” (Source: Federal Ministry of Health, 2023)
Competent handling of mental health issues makes employers more attractive, fosters a mental health-friendly workplace culture, and prevents mental health-related sick days.
Because we bring our mental state with us to work.
Whether it’s psychological first aid for stressed team members, learning how to prevent burnout, or managing crises as a leader, we support companies in easily implementing mental health initiatives in the workplace.
One of our proven services is our 4-session support package for employees in acute distress.
If a team member is going through a particularly stressful life situation or showing early signs of burnout or other psychological symptoms, you as an employer can offer them a package of psychological first aid. This includes four 60-minute sessions. If a colleague needs support, you can contact us by email, and after the sessions, you will receive an invoice.
The focus of the sessions is on stabilization, assessing the situation, psychoeducation (educating about psychological processes), and, of course, individual concerns. The content of the sessions remains confidential.
The sessions can take place either in-person in Berlin or online, and can be held in German or English.
What Our Clients Say:
“As employers, we have a duty of care for our employees. Many of our employees come from abroad, or are not from Berlin, so they may lack a strong local support network. It is important for us to be attentive to our employees’ needs and offer assistance whenever possible, doing as much as we can in-house.
In acute crises, such as the death of a close family member, job termination, or other situations, it is helpful for us to be able to offer a qualified, readily available service in English that provides deeper support and is separate from us.
It’s also beneficial to have the option available, even if it is not used, because employees know they can access it without shame or fear of anyone finding out. With SOULMATES, we have fortunately found a reliable and competent service for this.”
